Michele Llanos

Michele worked on film, television and editorial in the 90's as a stylist where she initially sold her pieces to industry clientele. Her creations are unique in that they are versatile -- bracelets can be worn as necklaces, necklaces transform into earrings. Soon thereafter, private clientele sought her "out-of-the-box" designs.

Michele serendipitously discovered reworking when a friend inherited a family heirloom that was exquisite, but did not fit her style. Delivering it to Michele along with a box of unused and forgotten jewelry, Michele disassembled the pieces and "reworked" them while adding new elements. Her friend was able to proudly wear a piece of her family's history, yet reveal her individuality.

Originally from Argentina and traveling throughout the world, Michele incorporated in her creations stones that are indigenous to the countries she lived and visited. She continues to travel the world in search for organic materials. Using nature as her influence, she fashions natural elements (puka shells, paua shells, porcupine quills, wood) with fine metals and precious/semi precious stones to create truly one-of-a-kind pieces.
